Our school gave some of us the opportunity to participate, along with other students from different schools, in the Mathematical Games: a competition organized by Bocconi University in Milan, which consists of solving some logic and mathematics problems.
This competition took place in several stages, the first of which was online.
The AIS has made the computers of the computer lab available, allowing us to connect directly from the institute and share the experience.
Having drawn up an initial ranking among all the students from the participating schools, nine of us qualified for the semi-final, organized by the Institute of Higher Education “Giancarlo Vallauri” of Fossano.
We found the experience inspiring and really interesting: it was uplifting to challenge people our age, and despite a little’ initial excitement, we had a lot of fun.
None of us managed to qualify for the Final stage, which would have taken us to Milan, but we were very pleased to see our teammate Tommaso among the top 25 (an excellent result, especially considering the large number of participants in his category) and we are grateful for the opportunity the school offered us.
Participants:
Edoardo (1B), Carlo (1B), Giuseppe (1B), Lorenzo (2A), Luca (2A), Veronica (2A), Francesco (2A), Zoe (2B), Giorgia (3A), Cesare (3B), Matteo (3B), Tommaso (3B).
