Laboratori di arte - Alba International School Laboratori di arte - Alba International School

At Alba International School, special importance is given to drawing.

It is not merely a teaching activity or a simple pastime –as it is often considered– but it has a much broader value because provides students with a means of self-expression and a way to communicate their perspectives on themselves and the world.

Behind graphic activity and creativity lie many faculties related to the thuman mind, including, problem-solving, perception, memory, attention, decision-making, and reasoning.

Furthermore, the parallel study of art history, starting from primary school as part of an interdisciplinary approach, allows students to understand how artists have used lines and colours differently over time to describe and interpret reality. It also aims to develop in students a conscious interest in and respect for artistic heritage and the environment, recognising their aesthetic, historical and social value.
