In parallel with the regular school curriculum, our institute prepares students to obtain internationally recognized certifications (linguistic and otherwise).
Such documentation has multiple advantages, namely:
- enhancing and enriching the curriculum to participate in exchange programs or study experiences abroad, for future university and professional careers.
- obtaining a visa or residence permit in a foreign country.
- improving your linguistic and communication skills
English language certification – Cambridge English Qualifications
Cambridge English certifications are a series of English language exams developed by the University of Cambridge. They are designed to assess language proficiency according to international standards and at different levels.
Preparing for Cambridge exams is a motivating way to improve your English quickly. The students are divided into small groups based on their level, so that everyone can proceed at their own pace. During the lessons, communication skills are developed through practice. Everyday situations are created while reading, writing, speaking and listening, using the appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
Our team is made up of qualified and expert native speaking teachers, who have different origins and accents. This diversity gives the students a precious opportunity for a variety of discussions.
As Cambridge has been assessing English as a second language for over a hundred years, learning is well organised, specific and assessment is clear. At the end of each academic year, students are encouraged to take an official exam which certifies the fruits of their commitment, and shows their improvement.
French language certification – DELF
For the French language, the DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) level A2 certification is offered to 3rd year middle schoolers, which allows them to obtain a diploma, confirming their level.
Basic digital skills certification – ICDL
The ICDL, acronym for International Certification of Digital Literacy, is an international certification that acknowledges the ability of basic digital skills.
The ICDL certification is made up of seven modules, which focus on different areas of digital competence (Basic Concepts, Online Essentials, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Database, IT Security).
Some of the modules can be achieved as individual certificates, as they are at an advanced or specialist level. Among these is the ICDL IT Security, for which we prepare our kids.
The certification, in fact, “defines the fundamental concepts and skills to understand the safe use of ICT in daily activities and to use relevant techniques and applications that allow you to manage a secure network connection, use the Internet safely, without risks and appropriately manage data and information.”
IT Security is aimed at “all users of information technology who should be vigilant against IT security threats such as viruses, phishing, hackers, online fraud and identity theft in general.”
