Lower Secondary School

The specific curriculum and the final student profile are those proposed by the Italian National Guidelines allowing students to continue their studies without difficulty in the normal Italian school system.

The Alba International School project sets as a further goal to be achieved by the end of the course the good command of English in both oral and written communication and comprehension to also be able to access study courses abroad.

The use of the CLIL method provides an effective means of teaching a foreign language.

And it guarantees the opportunity to acquire international certifications (KET – PET – DELF) with linguistic enhancement courses.

The main operators in this section are Italian teachers with English skills and native teachers trained on the Italian curriculum.

Students are guided from a human and social perspective in their growth, so that they can make mature and responsible choices with a preparation which is culturally adequate and expendable in the working world.

Transversal to each discipline is the development of formative projects, particularly those related to road safety, environmental, food, health, and emotional education.

The school activity is substantially uniform, but it is also addressed to tailor the educational actions with a particular focus on pupils with Learning disabilities, for whom specialist help is available.

During the weekly classes, the schedule includes four hours of English and six hours of curricular subjects taught in English, such as Geography, History, Science, Arts and Crafts, PE (Physical Education), and Music.
