Primary School students are immersed in a rich English language environment right from day one.
Lessons are from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. with an internal canteen. School starts 2nd September and ends on the 28th June with our “Summer Camp” Project during the last three weeks of June.
In addition to the Ministerial Curriculum, there are 10 hours of English per week from Grade 1 to Grade 5, taught by native English speakers. CLIL methodology is used meaning that other subjects are learnt in English. Also, preparation courses for Cambridge International Certifications are held during school hours.
Appropriate teaching methods create fun and engaging learning so that the foreign language is practiced though playing games, singing songs, drama, films or storytelling.
Music, Art and Physical Education is guaranteed for two hours per week by professionally qualified teachers. From the Grade 3, pupils have the option of a second foreign language (a choice between French and Spanish) and I.T. This creates a continuation though to the Middle School.
Soft Skills training are developed through external projects connected to curriculum subjects.
Lessons are inclusive and aimed to be personalised, in particular for BES and DSA students. This is thanks to an internal specialist consultant.
