Hi, I’m Alessia Barbero and on February 6, 2024 in Artesina I came in first place during a ski race at the Student Championships.

At first it didn’t seem real to me, then when they told me I had managed to win this challenge I started jumping for joy!

The emotion you feel when you manage to win a race is not only the satisfaction of having won for yourself, but above all that of having won for the team I was competing for, namely that of ’ Alba International School.

The day started at 6:00, when we left in the school van. At that moment I never thought I’d come home with a medal. When we arrived at our destination, looking around, I saw all the people better than me, but I wasn’t discouraged and, in fact, with more determination, I reached the finish line.

Thanks to my school that encouraged me to participate in this competition, I am proud of the work I have done! It will become one of the fondest memories of my journey at Alba International School!
