Workshops, meetings and activities to cultivate empathy, autonomy and a sense of community
At Alba International School, we dedicated a whole week to developing emotional well-being, kindness, and personal growth through Smile Week, a special educational stoppage project designed to put the person at the center.
The children participated in workshops dedicated to autonomy, gratitude, kindness, and the valorization of differences, living concrete experiences capable of transforming small daily gestures into great learning opportunities.
Meetings with the Casa do Menor and Lailai associations brought true stories of solidarity to the school, while the testimony of Paralympic athlete Maria José G. inspired our students with a message of strength and hope.
There was also great enthusiasm for the flag-waving workshop in collaboration with the historic Borgo Moretta group, the yoga sessions led by Silvia Palma, and the motor therapy with Samuele Della Balda, which provided children with moments of pure joy and emotion.
An intense week, which left a profound mark on our school community, reminding us that educating also means teaching us to be good with ourselves and others.
At the bottom of the page you can see a short interview conducted by the children, who put themselves on the line by asking questions about kindness and respect.
